This statement is based on the guidelines set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Duties of Authors
-
Authors must ensure that their manuscripts are original, have not been published elsewhere, and are not under consideration in another journal.
-
Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must be given, and plagiarism in any form constitutes unethical publishing behavior.
-
All sources of funding and potential conflicts of interest must be disclosed.
-
Authors must participate in the peer review process and respond promptly and respectfully to editorial and reviewer comments.
-
In cases of significant errors discovered after publication, authors are obliged to inform the editor and cooperate in the correction or retraction process.
2. Duties of Editors
-
Editors are responsible for deciding which articles are suitable for publication based on their academic merit and alignment with the journal’s scope.
-
Editors must ensure a fair and impartial peer review process and avoid conflicts of interest.
-
Editors will take appropriate action when ethical complaints are raised concerning a submitted or published paper.
-
Confidentiality must be maintained for all submitted manuscripts.
3. Duties of Reviewers
-
Reviewers must provide objective and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts and identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors.
-
Any potential conflict of interest must be disclosed, and reviewers should decline review if they feel unqualified or biased.
-
Manuscripts under review must be treated as confidential documents.
4. Duties of the Publisher (Qianzy)
-
The publisher must ensure that best practices in editorial and ethical standards are followed across the journal’s operations.
